The past year has seen the association involved in a number of issues.

The CSR development applications have created a united community never seen before. These difficult issues have taken some considerable time and effort. CSR#1 obtained a satisfactory outcome with many restrictions on the operation of the plant.

I thank Bill Walsh for his very generous time and effort in representing us in these mediations and ongoing communications. The Community Liaison Group is up and running. I thank Michelle Patterson for her extraordinary efforts. CSR#2 is continuing.

A subcommittee was created to deal with traffic issues particularly speeding and hooning. Thanks to Dave McDonnell for his efforts.

SPRPA again had a stall at this year’s Centenary Rocks Festival which was very successful in lifting the profile of our organisation.

The tunnel under the highway saw a transformation with a large mural being painted. The community were well attended with many budding artists now in our community.

Thanks also to Jason Curtis for his efforts as Secretary. I wish him well in his new family life in Townsville. Thanks to Dave Williamson for taking over the role of Secretary.

The web site has been upgraded with a new look and is more informative thanks to the efforts of our new web master Henrik Maier.

2007/08 was another busy year but with the residents continued support we will make Sinnamon Park the best suburb to live in.
