The past year has seen the association continue to be involved in a number of issues.

The CSR development applications have all now been dealt with through the Planning Court. These difficult issues have taken some considerable time and effort.

I thank Bill Walsh for his very generous time and effort in representing us in these mediations and ongoing communications. Without his invaluable assistance we would not have had the successes that we did.

The Community Liaison Group is continuing to meet and has a great rapport with the management of the plant.

Dave McDonnell continues to deal with traffic issues particularly speeding and hooning. He has worked in conjunction with the local police in trying to improve the safety of our streets. His efforts are appreciated.

Bellwood Street ‘busway’ continues to be a heartache for this association with elements of the community continuing their selfish approach to this situation. We will continue to be vigilant in ensuring that this link is used only for its designated use.

Our ‘sponsorship’ saw the creation of the Jamboree Residents Association this year. It is good to see more associations in the area. It is vital for our voices to be heard and this is one great way that this can occur.

Many new challenges are pending that this association will ensure the amenity of the residents is assured.

I would like to thank my executive who have continued to beaver away in helping to make Sinnamon Park a great suburb to live in.
